Jaco Beach Costa Rica is not only the fastest growing beach town in Costa Rica, but it attracts a variety of people. Proximity to San Jose. Only 1 hour from the Juan Santa Maria International Airport (the main airport) in Costa Rica's capital city, via a new, modern highway opened in 2010. The travel to the Pacific Coast from San Jose passes through Escazu, a posh, upscale community where the county's best best hospitals and shopping is located, then passes through beautiful mountains and coffee country before leveling out at the Coast. This proximity also allows for easy access to the countries and businesses. Also important is the new highway under construction (projected opening is May 2009) that will cut this drive to about 45 minutes!

Healthcare. Costa Rica's healthcare system is ranked very high in world rankings and half the price of healthcare in the US. At least two hospitals are in the design (in addition to the current out patient clinics) in the area including one private hospital and one public hospital setting your mind at ease if, God forbid, you require medical attention. There is also a medical airlift available to Costa Rica's CIMA Hospital in San Jose (about a 15 minute flight).

Self Sustaining. Jaco Costa Rica and the Central Pacific Coast is not isolated like most parts of Costa Rica. Small Town. Jaco is growing and popular, but don't worry it is not a big city. The population of Jaco (Garabito) has only 10,000 people during most of the year and 15,000 to 20,000 people during the popular travel weeks.

Clean Water. The municipal water supply in Jaco Beach has been warranted as clean and 100% safe to drink. Save on the bottled water unlike trips to other Latin American destinations.

Blue FlagBeach. Jaco has recently received its Blue Flag beach status for its clean beaches and also its town. A crew of men and equipment comb the beaches every day picking up trash and debris and keeping it an enjoyable place to visit and relax. It's town has also received award for its cleanliness, clean water, police department and other things.

Good Infrastructure. Jaco Beach has the best infrastructure of any beach town in Costa Rica. This means reliable power, water supply and great roads.

New Boardwalk. Jaco is working on the construction of a boardwalk that will run the length of the beach and making it the envy of many other towns and the enjoyment of those who like to walk, jog and bike.

Variety of Restaurants. Whether you are living full time, part time or vacationing for a week or two, you will have numerous restaurants to satisfy even the most discriminating appetites.
