La Iguana Golf Course at Los Suenos Resort and Marina is a beautiful and challenging Ted Robinson Jr. 18 hole, par 72 championship course, that flows from the scenic ocean greens into hilly rain forest areas where monkeys, toucans and scarlet macaws are common. La Iguana at Los Suenos is located on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, the closest coastal golf course to the capital city of San Jose (Central Valley) and it's upscale suburbs of Escazu and Santa Ana.

Cabo Caletas is an upscale golf course and 450 acre resort community located on the Central Pacific Coast, 10 minutes south of the popular beach town of Jaco. Cabo Caletas golf course is presently under construction with an expected completion date of 2012. Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course in Guanacaste, Costa Rica is located on a 4,500 acres property on the North Pacific Coast. It's setting once served as a cattle ranch giving it a western, ranch feel. Views include pristine beaches and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the tropical dry forest native to the Northern Pacific of Costa Rica. Hacienda Pinilla's golf course was designed by architect, Mike Young. Greens fees are $150 and including cart.

Valle Del Sol Golf Course in Santa Ana (San Jose), Costa Rica's Central Valley
Located in Santa Ana in the West Suburbs of San Jose near Escazu, Costa Rica, Valle Del Sol is an excellent 18 hole course designed by Tracy D. May. Only 10 minutes from The Juan Santa Maria International airport and five minutes from the new Caldera Highway (about an hour from Jaco). The course has 6 lakes and lots of wetlands to test the skills. Mature trees line the fairways. The golf course is mostly open, but the fairways are tight with little room for error. Also, winds - especially in the afternoon can create additional challenges.
Cariari Golf Course in San Jose, Costa Rica's Central Valley
Cariari Golf Course in San Jose, Costa Rica is located half way (ten minutes) between The Juan Santa Maria Airport and San Jose, Costa Rica. This 18 hole par 71 championship golf course is a private club and open to members only. Many local hotels in the area, however, offer tee times for their guests. Built in 1970 by Tom Fazio, this was the only 18 hole course in Central America for many years. The course is beautiful and its fairways are lined by numerous trees.
